Local lanta island traditions, Local Kohlanta Recipes, Kolanta Customs, religious practises, Cultural events, Portraits of Koh Lanta's local characters and a detailled documentary of each of the different Bays/beaches on Koh lanta Yai and Lanta Noi island.

Koh/Ko Lanta consist of two main islands; Koh Lanta Yai, and Lanta Noi.The official spelling of the word island in English is "Koh", not "Ko" but many people still prefer to spell it as Ko Lanta

Koh-Lanta Yai (Yai meaning "Big") is no more than 30 kilometers in length and maybe about ten kilometers at it's widest part.The larger of the two islands - it has begun to develop touristically, but because of the Muslim majority of the islands population, and the deep embedded local ancient traditions, the island of KohLanta (or Ko Lanta, if you like) seems to develop a lot more slowly than inother parts of Thailand, which adds to the charm and magic of the place
